Song: I Get Lonely Too
Artist: Drake
Album: It’s Never Enough (mixtape)
Producer: Noah “40” Shebib
Label: Cash Money / Young Money
Genre: R&B
Notes: From 2nd Mixtape
Analysis: 6.0 [With Drake being absolutely every fucking where this year, it isn’t exactly essential for him to put out any more material at the moment. It’s Never Enough will be a new mixtape, supposedly favoring R&B over rap, and ‘I Get Lonely Too’ assures all of his lady fans that he’s just as lonely as any of them. Except unlike So Far Gone and Thank Me Later, this track seems less genuine and more calculated. Drake’s biggest appeal is how grounded he is, but if he’s starting to pen songs with the need to talk about that fact, maybe he’s overcompensating a bit.]
