New Music: Coheed and Cambria > Here We Are Juggernaut

Song: Here We Are Juggernaut
Artist: Coheed and Cambria
Album: Year of the Black Rainbow
Label: Columbia
Genre: Alternative Rock / Progressive Metal
Notes: First single from 5th LP
Analysis: So after letting one track rip about a month back, Coheed and Cambria are laying out their official first single, the massively titled ‘Here We Are Juggernaut’. A heavy stampede of guitars tears it open as Claudio defiantly belts out ‘this is not your playground, its my heart!‘ and the colors of the song begin to show. From there, everything just soars and dips and dives through melodic metal riffs and Claudio’s powerful voice. Bodies are breaking and scars are lashed in the lyrics, and the howls of ‘nothing matters anymore! so what! here we are juggernaut!‘ echo out. Listening to ‘Here We Are Juggernaut’ is like being helplessly engulfed by a tidal wave, but with a feeling of serenity right before impact. Solid, solid track.
